Your team will be assigned one of the tasks required to produce the Fladoodle. Remember that we are working separately but together on this project. Be aware of what is being done before and after your step! Our goal is to load the Fladoodle on the assembly line, complete each task required to produce it, and remove it from the assembly to be shipped out to the customers. Here are the steps required to produce the Fladoodle:
Task #1: Your group must load the Fladoodle on to the conveyor belt. The angled side should be facing forward.
Task #2: Your group will be responsible for cutting the top and the left and right sides of the block with a simulated saw. It should be a straight cut and the Fladoodle should be 3.5 cm tall.
Task #3: Your group will be responsible for cutting the rear of the Fladoodle with a simulated saw. It should be a straight cut and the Fladoodle should be 5 cm long (see picture below).
Task #4: Your group will be responsible for making the angled cut on the front face of the Fladoodle with a simulated saw. The cut will need to be 60 degrees. When completed the top of the Fladoodle will measure 3cm long and the bottom will be 5 cm.
Task #5: Your group will be responsible for making a straight deep cut into the top of the Fladoodle with a simulated saw. The cut should be made 0.5 cm from the rear of the Fladoodle and be 0.5 cm deep and 0.9 cm wide (see picture above).
Task #6: Your group will be responsible for making a straight deep cut along the entire right face of the Fladoodle with a simulated saw. The cut should be made 1 cm from the top and 1.5 from the bottom of the Fladoodle. The cut itself should be 0.5 cm deep and 1 cm wide (see picture above).
Task #7: Your group will be responsible for drilling a hole in the top face of the Fladoodle with a simulated drill. The center of the hole should be 0.5 cm from the top front edge, 2.5 cm from the rear edge and 2 cm from the left and right edge. The diameter of the hole is 0.7 cm and the depth 0.25 cm.
Task #8: Your group will be responsible for drilling a hole in the front face of the Fladoodle with a simulated drill. The center of the hole should be 1.7 cm from the top front edge and 2 cm from the left and right edge. The diameter of the hole is 0.7 cm and the depth 0.25 cm.
Task #9: Your group will be responsible for drilling a hole in the rear face of the Fladoodle with a simulated drill . The center of the hole should be 1.5 cm from the top front edge and 2 cm from the left and right edge. The diameter of the hole is 0.7 cm and the depth 0.25 cm.
Task #10: Your group will be responsible for drilling a hole in the left face of the Fladoodle with a simulated drill. The center of the hole should be 1.5 cm from the top front edge and 2.5 cm from the back edge. The diameter of the hole is 0.7 cm and the depth 0.25 cm.
Task #11: Your group will be responsible for sanding the 5 exposed suffices of the Fladoodle with a simulated sander.
Task #12: Your group will be responsible for painting the exposed surfices of the Fladoodle with a simulated painter.
Task #13: Your group is responsible for removing the Fladoodle from the conveyor belt and placing it in a box to ship to its customer.
