Automated Window Shutters

A customer has asked us to build some automated shutters for his bedroom windows. He is confined to his bed while he recovers from a car accident that has limited his ability to walk. He would like to be able to open and shut his shutters during the day. Here are the constraints of the design he has requested:

1. The shutters should be activated by a touch LED and should register the color RED when shut and the color GREEN when open. Furthermore, the display screen (VEX IQ Brain) should display OPEN or CLOSED and should read OPENING (while the windows are opening) and CLOSING (while the windows are closing)

2. There is only one window into his bedroom, but it is rather large. There should be two shutters on either side of the window and they should be on the outside of the house.
